Self Promotion
Grades
Throughout high school and so far in my college career I have always made the dean’s list and or president’s list. As a student athlete it is important to keep my grades up so I’m able to participate in my sport. I have maintained a 3.7 GPA into my senior year at the University of Hartford. Being a marketing major and sport management minor it shows my understanding on the two subjects. Allowing me to carry my learning into my professional career.
Internship In Athletic Department
At the University of Hartford I have an internship in the athletic department. I work closely with the facilities/events manager and the athletic director. It has opened my eyes into applying what I’ve learned in class and applying it to my internship. My role is to assist in game day operations, manage the equipment room, handle inventory, marketing research, and Uhart Baseball’s social media manager.
Leadership
As a senior in high school I was the team captain of the baseball team. Now in my senior year at Hartford I am a captain on the baseball team. Being a captain of a team has given me experience in leading by example, communication, encouragement, work ethic, and responsibility. As a captain you have to earn the respect of your teammates and have your trust. Everyone is watching your every move so it is important for me to work hard, show up on time, and be positive.
